The 3rd Annual New Jersey International Salsa Congress is proud to feature the best of the BEST among Semi-pros and Student teams in a single elimination, no holds-barred competition for CASH Prizes and exposure!

Only 8 Teams Per Category Will Compete

Each category, Semi-Pro and Student, will have only 8 entries. Acceptance is on a first come, first served basis, followed by screening for eligibility.

Competitions Rules

Limited to Semi-Professional and Student Teams, specializing in a Latin Dance form (Salsa, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha, Cumbia or Bachata). No professionals will be considered. NJISC2012 will thouroughly screen entrants and reserves its right to disqualify a team based on performance history as a professional (paid) group. As children may be present, please be tasteful, respectful and politically correct! Eligibility based on limited record, history and experience. Only 8 teams for each category to be selected, with a minimum 4 participants. No single couples will be considered. No exceptions will be made. An additional 2 teams per category will be selected as alternates in case a selected team withdraws from competition. Teams may either repeat their performances in each round or feature a new routine. It is highly recommended to have at least 2 different choreographies. Register your team by February 28, 2012. Acceptance is made on a first come, first served basis. Each team member must purchase a Performer's Pass. Teams will be given their own discount code. Purchases will be limited to the number of team members. The Performer's Pass grants General Admission to NJISC2012, workshops and other special events. Optional technical rehearsals are scheduled as follows: APRIL 27, FRIDAY, 3:00PM to 6:00PM APRIL 28, SATURDAY, 3:00PM to 6:00PM APRIL 29, SUNDAY, 3:00PM to 6:00PM Judging will done by our Distinguished Panel (TBA) and by your friends and fans at NJISC2012 and on facebook! Details on how to vote for your teams will announced soon. All competitions will be broadcasted live on http://njisc.com and on our facebook Fan Page, on high definition provided by Livestream and UStream! All participants will be available for press and photo sessions while competing. All teams must submit a copy of their soundtracks upon confirmation of entry. Details to follow on how to submit a CD or MP3. There will be NO other available performance dates for NJISC2012. One single group leader, dance coach or school director must fill the following form Please note we will not consider applications nor solicitations via email, Facebook, twitter, etc. All team members must be at least 18 years of age, no exceptions. All team members must sign the Performance Team Waiver upon acceptance.

We understand that, if selected as a performing Semi-Pro or Student team, we will not be monetarily compensated to compete. We agree to the Competition Regulations, and that we are eligible to purchase discounted, Performers' Passes to fully participate at NJISC2012, that we will make our own hotel arrangements, travel arrangements, and that our dance team will be may opt not to conduct its tech rehearsal at the time specified by NJISC2012 Production Team.
